Recetas de familia: Chichi's chimichurri

En esta entrega de las Recetas de familia les paso un clásico de la cocina argentina para acompañar, generalmente los chorizos (choripanes), o cualquier carne.

Chimichurri Chichi

En una procesadora picar hasta consistencia deseada:
- 1 taza de aceite de oliva extra vírgen
- jugo de medio limón
- 1 ramillete de perejil italiano pequeño- sólo las hojas
- 3 dientes de ajo
- 1/4 cebolla roja
- 1 cucharadita de pimienta roja picada
- sal y pimienta a gusto

Esta es una receta que gustó muchísimo en un asado que hicimos el fin de semana con amigos. Lo importante es que ajusten los ingredientes a su preferencias - más picante, con más o menos ajo y que hagan el doble de lo que pensaban preparar.

In this posting of Family Recipes let me share with you a classic from the Argentine cuisine, generally used to accompany sausages (choripanes), but good for any kind of meat.
Chichi's Chimichurri
In a food processor chop until desired consistency:
- 1 cup of EVOO
- juice of half a lemon
- 1 small bunch of flat leaf parsley - leaves only
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1/4 red onion
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- salt and pepper to taste
My friends loved the recipe when they tasted it this past weekend. The important thing is to adjust the recipe to your taste - spicier, more or less garlic and to make a double batch!

This also helps me practice read Spanish, which is also not the best.
