OK, I know traditionalists might be put off but there's so much more that can go into a Hot Dog to make it a Perro Caliente!
On Sunday, we took the baby to a celebration for the Colombian Independence Day in Norwalk CT and I had a perfect excuse to try - once again - a Colombian Hot Dog. They were piled up high with pickle relish, green onions, pineapple cubes, bacon bits, ketchup, crumbled chips and no napkins. It was a messy affair but worth the laundry load.

Never heard of a "Colombian" Hot dog! It sounds absolutely wonderful! I will have to try. Are the hot dogs boiled, steamed, fried or grilled?
They were grilled in this case. They can also be boiled. I haven't steamed them but I do not see why not...
