The Omnivorous Reader Dilema
Reading is a passion of mine. It was never forced on me. Books were readily available in my home. So I picked what I wanted most times intrigued by the covers and bindings. We had very old books at home: there were novels (whole Agatha Christie series in English and Spanish), Atlases, Philosophy Dictionaries and History Books. Nothing was out of bounds. And when I was done with the books at home, I started with the library at school... and never stopped.Friday, May 29, 2009
Translation Challenge
There's a challenge coming up for all of those bilingual English/ Spanish and all of those resourceful enough to try!I'll be posting a couple of paragraphs to translate into Spanish. You are welcome to give it a shot and submit your translation. I'll post all entries anonymously and we'll all vote for the best translation together. The rules are: do the best you can and render the text in the manner you think best expresses the same content in Spanish. Please do: be "local", be colorful, be expressive.
If you'd be interested in participating, leave me a comment here. Thanks!
...
¡Gracias!

Teavana Tea / Té Teavana

Teavana is a jewel of a store that sells various kinds of teas with enticing aromas at the Westchester Mall. The paraphernalia to savour the teas is just as fanciful.
The teas look, smell and taste heavenly. These are just of the delectable names of their tea selections:
Garden Aria, Scarlet Cloud , Queen of Babylon, Fresh Jasmine Blossoms (awesome).
You can also find teas at teavana.com. They carry the whole range of the tea spectrum: white, green, oolong, black, rooibos, herbal and more.
